SERVICOM Directorate Commends Kano State Government, Calls for Improved Punctuality in MDAs

The SERVICOM Directorate, Kano, has commended the Kano State Government under the visionary leadership of Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf for its ongoing commitment to infrastructural development and improved service delivery across the state.

During an unscheduled monitoring visit led by the Directorate’s overseer, Director Public inquiry and complain, Mr. Tahir Garba, the Directorate inspected the Government Junior Secondary Race Course Model School, which is currently undergoing reconstruction. Despite the renovation works, academic activities were observed to be continuing smoothly. The Directorate described this as a commendable effort by the State Government to enhance learning environments without disrupting students’ education.

However, in the course of its routine visits, the Directorate expressed concern over the issue of lateness among some management staff in certain MDAs, notably at the Kano Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA) and the Murtala Muhammad Library, Kano. SERVICOM stressed that punctuality and commitment to duty are essential for effective service delivery and called on all public officers to demonstrate greater dedication, discipline, and professionalism in the discharge of their responsibilities.

The Directorate reaffirmed its readiness to continue unscheduled visits across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies in order to sustain accountability, transparency, and improved citizens’ satisfaction in service delivery.
