BUK to Build 500 Staff Housing Units

In less than one month at the helm of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), the new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Haruna Musa, has set a remarkable pace by initiating one of the most ambitious staff welfare projects in the university’s history, the construction of 500 staff housing units. This bold step is designed to tackle the decades-long housing deficit that has remained a major challenge for the university community.

Professor Musa made the announcement during the 2nd Registry Roundtable Discussion held at the Senate Chamber last week, where he highlighted some of the milestones already achieved since assuming office. He disclosed that the university management has reached an advanced stage of engagement with the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) to deliver the project, adding that a memorandum of understanding would soon be signed to bring the initiative to fruition.
